TERNOX is a Google Sites intranet template for companies whose intranet is above all a place to read: news, announcements and the people behind them. It is designed like a weekly newspaper, with a serif masthead, black rules on a cream background, black and white photos and a red accent.

What this internal news intranet includes

• Home: the masthead with issue number and date, a lead story, three latest stories, a note from the CEO, this month's agenda and a people section.
• Departments: six desks, one per team, each with a short update and the name of the person who writes it.
• People: new hires with photos and a column of work anniversaries.

Running it as a weekly issue

The template works best with a fixed rhythm: each team names one person who sends a short update every week, and the communications team publishes the issue on the same day. Ask colleagues before you publish their name or photo, and keep the site limited to people inside the company.
